Job Title – Frontend Developer

Duration – 6 Months Contract to begin with possibility of conversion

Project Location – Seattle, Washington

Primary Responsibilities of the role

• Adhering to agile process at the beginning of a given 3 week sprint they get together as a team and discuss the tasks and deliverables, go over what can be accomplished in that 3 week sprint, and break down responsibilities accordingly
• This person will need to properly document their course of action, especially for net new work
• Properly put a plan of action together for standard execution tasks like debugging for example
• Daily stand-up meetings will be important
• Have releases or deployments for features every couple of weeks, expects team members to be present and engaged for those, especially for those team members who have specifically worked on that specific feature
• They will never just work on individual features against an action item list but needs to constantly be thinking how this work impacts the org from a big picture standpoint, expects this person to think in this way from an architecture and solutions standpoint
• Client doesn’t like to handhold developers every day. If developers need to be shown the code they need to develop and what they need to do step by step, that way working doesn’t scale and won’t work

Top 3 Skill Requirement

• Needs react (or angular) – both would be a plus
• AWS experience – lambda, S3, API gateway, RDS – these are the big ones that anyone with AWS and, more importantly, comfortability navigating AWS libraries and processes should have familiarity with
• High levels of Communication and Interpersonal competency will be integral for the ability for someone to do great work

Core technical requirement

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries specifically React or Angular
• Experience writing software in a combination Java or JavaScript
• Experience developing software under UNIX/Linux environment
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design patterns, web application design and SOA Code and test system components; participate in code and design reviews.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
