Are you ready to take on a hybrid role with a broader scope, offering true ownership and leadership? Join HotelMap, a global leader in event and group hotel booking, and play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and securing AWS-based infrastructure while ensuring PCI DSS compliance.

About us:

HotelMap is a high-growth SaaS company and the global leader in large-scale event and group hotel booking. Our mission is to simplify and innovate the way event organisers and attendees find and book accommodation, leveraging cutting-edge technology.

Operating in over 500 cities worldwide, HotelMap partners with some of the world’s largest event organisers to deliver a seamless hotel booking experience. Our platform connects attendees with more than 1,000,000 accommodation options, offering preferential rates and an intuitive booking process tailored to their needs.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you’ll architect, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure to support our growing operations while ensuring compliance with PCI DSS security standards. Your work will directly contribute to creating a secure environment for processing credit card data, maintaining compliance, and safeguarding customer information.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
  • Automate and enhance security controls, compliance monitoring, and patch management strategies.
  • Optimise cloud infrastructure costs and ensure high availability through disaster recovery solutions.
  • Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes (EKS) and migrate legacy applications to modern infrastructure.
  • Oversee AWS RDS operations, including scaling, upgrades, and high-availability configurations.
  • Foster collaboration across technical teams, ensuring best practices in system architecture.

Tech Stack:

  • AWS DevOps, Kubernetes | PHP / Laravel, Python, MySQL, API integration | XML, JSON, Curl | CI/CD pipeline | JavaScript, React | GraphQL, Redis, Docker | Bespoke Applications

About You:

  • Experience: 5+ years in DevOps with AWS, including at least 1-year managing PCI DSS compliance.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux/Unix systems. In-depth knowledge of AWS services like ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and IAM. Experience with CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to foster collaborative teamwork.

What We Offer:

  • Work with cutting-edge technologies in a flexible, supportive environment.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work remotely or in our London HQ.
