Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions, optimizing compute, storage infrastructure, and seamless integration with our global data center collocation sites.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing systems to identify opportunities for enhancements in capacity, scalability, and security, aligning with the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine policies and procedures, ensuring maximum availability and reliability of our IT infrastructure across all company offices.
  • Provide expert recommendations on alternative technologies and improvements to enhance information systems, aligning with organizational goals and leveraging your deep understanding of IT principles.
  • Develop and review detailed plans for the integration of cloud services into new and existing systems architecture, fostering seamless integration and future scalability.
  • Uphold system stability by identifying and implementing best practices, leveraging lessons learned, and continuously optimizing our infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, including change control management, systems maintenance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security and Compliance teams to maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and other regulatory requirements.
  • Work in conjunction with the Applications Manager, Network Engineering Manager, and Security Operations Manager to develop a global architecture and roadmap, enhancing the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure systems and applications.
  • Coordinate with Directors, Managers, and engineers to ensure efficient project completion and alignment with company objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of administrative procedures, security protocols, maintenance procedures, and system design manuals, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Oversee the implementation of new hybrid cloud infrastructure services and modifications to existing on-premises infrastructure services, ensuring thorough planning, monitoring, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in implementing IT infrastructure systems, with a focus on compute, storage, and data centers.
  • Previous experience in legal information technology preferred (not required).
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise systems, network, security, and software administration within hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting large global enterprises across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud services and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues across all infrastructure layers.
  • Prior experience collaborating with application development, security, risk, compliance, and business teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to executive and management levels.
  • Familiarity with VMware Infrastructure, vSphere, ESXi, NSX, and Virtual Center Site Recovery Manager.
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in core infrastructure, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Virtualization, and Active Directory services.
  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts and platforms.
  • Experience with storage systems such as Pure FlashArray, Pure FlashBlade, and Nasuni.
  • Proficiency with Cisco products, UCS, MDS, routing and switching technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup applications and other Data Protection products.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation tools.

Must have skills:

  • Azure
  • AVS Azure VMware service
  • Entra ID – new Active Directory
  • Understanding the underlying network services in Azure
  • How to build knowledge on how to build the Azure infrastructure
  • Domain controller AD, DNS, DHCP
  • Moving to Azure experience- 2 years moving workloads
  • VMware within Azure
  • VM in vSphere and Vxi just managed by Microsoft
  • Moving into SaaS and using Azure for other services entra ID – AD within Azure and that is going to be the identity source of truth
  • 3 years of core engineering core and 2 years cloud
  • Support network team and other applications team even if going to SaaS and API
